A recent visit to Vanderbilt was followed up by a visit to Georgia Tech this past Saturday. Kendall met with Coach Tech Roof when he got to campus. The first part of their talk focused on the academic side of Tech followed by their talking about the Tech football program. “Coach Roof talked to me about schemes, the different defenses he would employ, and how I would fit into them. He said he sees me more as a boundary corner, especially in the nickel and dime packages.”

Kendall liked what he heard from Coach Roof. Academically, Kendall is interested in engineering. “I haven’t really decided what I want to major in when I do get to college but the engineering programs at Tech really interest me.” Kendall also liked hearing what his football role would be. “I loved how he sees me fitting in his schemes he has for the defense. I really like the idea of playing the boundary corner.”

The visit to Tech reminded Kendall of his visit to Vanderbilt. “Both schools have a good combination of football and academics and that is something I am looking for in a school.  Both visits were really informative.”

Additional July visits are also planned for Kendall. North Carolina State and Wake Forest are two schools he plans to visit in July. “Before I head back to school, I’d like to possibly visit Virginia, North Carolina, Michigan State, Iowa State, and Pitt.”

Kendall feels that he’s getting to the point where he can narrow down his list of offers. “The process kind of hit me and it has been a little stressful but I am blessed to be in this situation. I haven’t got to the point of naming a top five or even a top ten but I feel it is getting close.” Kendall feels that each visit has helped him get closer to making his decision.

Feeling comfortable at the school he chooses will probably be the biggest factor in Kendall’s decision. “The school I pick will be the one that will be the best in helping me with the best education for life after football.” Look for Kendall to make his college choice before the start of his senior year.
