Buford QB Commits to Jackets

We said last month that Kyle Manley was close to choosing Georgia Tech. Tonight, he made it official.

It was just a matter of time before Buford quarterback Kyle Manley made a commitment, and tonight he pulled the trigger and is going to stay in state and play for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

"I committed about 30 minutes ago," said Manley. "It's always pretty much them. I was kind of waiting to see what some of my teammates would do. I wanted to go somewhere with one of my teammates, but once Zach (Zach Smith) committed to Duke, I went ahead and committed to Georgia Tech"

Manley still has a chance to help recruit some of his teammates to Georgia Tech as highly regarded Darius Walker and Neil Brown are still open.

"I think Tech is in Darius' Top 5, so that would be real nice. I can't figure out what he is going to do. I think Neil likes a lot of people right now too."

Manley is at the helm of one of the top overall teams in the state of Georgia regardless of classification. Buford has yet to allow a point this season, and Manley is the efficient leader on offense. After taking some criticism last year for not recruiting the state of Georgia hard enough last year, Manley becomes Tech's fourth instate commitment of eight total.
