Maryland at Florida State 3:30 PM, ABC
It looks like Coach Bowden and his Noles finally started getting it together last week in Charlottesville, at least defensively. True freshman Adrian McPherson got some snaps with the first unit this week in a move apparently designed to speed up Chris Rix's learning curve.
Friedgen and his top-notch staff still have that whole cinderella season intangible going for them and its a hard thing to pick against. So I'm going to pick the Terps because the 'Noles have been turnover prone and the Terps have been the best in the country at forcing them. If the 'Noles hold onto the ball, the dream of an undefeated season will be over for Maryland.
Clemson at Wake Forest Noon, Fox Sports Net
This could be an upset, but I'm guessing Woody Dantzler is at his most unstoppable and saves the day again for the Tigers.
Virginia at N.C. State 1:30 PM
N.C. State has lost the most ground with the addition of new ACC coaches this year. Who knew these new guys would all be so good? But they still have Phillip Rivers and he'll be the difference against a well-coached but less talented Virginia team.Vanderbilt at Duke 1 PM
Vanderbilt has more experience including fifth year senior QB Greg Zolman. They'll enjoy a non-SEC game and should roll. Carl Franks, in case you haven't heard, will be back next year according to Duke's AD.
Upset special: Arkansas over Auburn at home. LSU over visiting Ole Miss, Tennessee over South Carolina (but I'm definitely conflicted here), Oklahoma over Nebraska, Michigan over Iowa, UCLA over Stanford, Purdue over Northwestern.
