Tech Continues Good work in Peach State

Georgia Tech brought in a big athlete from Marietta High School this weekend, and he made a commitment to the Jackets.

Georgia Tech continues its good work in the state of Georgia this year with another local commitment from Marietta High School. Jonathan Morrison is a big athlete that will be brought in to possibly fill one of several roles.

"He committed Georgia Tech," said Morrison's father Steve. "He's 6-4.5 235 pounds right now. They are talking to him as a defensive end, linebacker, or tight end. They all sound good to him; he's happy with all of them. He met with the tight ends on Saturday. We were going to UCF possibly UConn for official visits, but this was really his first choice. I think the quality of the commitment to the players both academically and the coaching staff's attention to detail are what he liked the best. Georgia Tech is really involved in every aspect of their development. For instance they are one of only seven schools in the country with a full time nutritionist."

Big John is enjoying the Martin Luther King Holliday by sleeping in a bit, but we will catch up with him later for his comments on his commitment.
