Connecticut OL Headed to ACC

Kieran Delaney is a big offensive lineman from Connecticut that isn't a household name in the south, but as big as he is, he very well could be in the near future. Georgia Tech brought him in for a visit this weekend, and the big man was very impressed with the Jackets.

"I committed to Georgia Tech," said Kieran Delaney. "I went down there this weekend and just had a great time. I liked all of the guys and the school and everything; that's just where I wanted to be. I'd like to try and report early this summer, but I haven't worked that out with them (Georgia Tech) yet. I took an official visit to Penn to check out the Ivy School thing, but I'm not setting up any other officials."

Delaney had gotten offers from teams like Maryland, Iowa State, and Northwestern among others, but he has decided to head south and play for Georgia Tech. At 6-5 and 310 pounds with a 340 pound bench press and 515 squat, he has the physical ability to make an early impact at Georgia Tech based on his current size and strength.

Delaney was Tech's 2nd commitment of the weekend. For a full list of their official commitment, Please Click Here.
