Tech adds a Commitment at Kicker

When one door closes another one opens. Georgia Tech lost a kicker last week, but the Jackets added one this weekend.

"I committed to Georgia Tech this weekend," said Kyle Belcher. "I committed to Coach Gailey this morning. I had been up there earlier in the spring and the summer. I love the facilities and the area and everything. Once they assured me that my major was going to be there I knew it was right. It felt like the right place for me both academically and athletically. Right now, I want to major in Physical Therapy. They talked about coming in mid June, but nothing is official yet. Coach Nix will be back by here on Wednesday."

Belcher was 10/18 on the season as a place kicker, but that percentage is a little deceiving. Five of his misses were from greater than 54 yards. He had a long of 57 on the year and a 40.2 punting average.
