Randall Cox has committed to Georgia Tech. He gives Georgia Tech its second offensive lineman commitment for this year's class to go along with Trey Dunmon, who committed to GT 2 weeks before. Cox, from Saint Augustine High in Florida said, "Yes sir, I committed last night around 8 o'clock or so. I called Coach Buddy Geis to let him know."

Cox seemed to have a great time on his visit to Atlanta this weekend while on an official visit. Brad Honeycutt and Eddy Parker were his hosts for the weekend. What all did he get to do and see while on his visit? "I got to see a lot of practice and some meetings and we eat quite a bit. They showed us two presentations also. One was an academic presentation and the other was on life-after-college."

While on his visit Cox got to hang out with some other GT recruits. He spent time with Maurice Wells, Tyler Compton and Brad Sellers, just to name a few. He said that they all got along great and compared schools and other recruiting experiences they had been through. Cox said, "Since we really didn't know a lot about each other, we talked about what kind of season each of our teams were having. Tyler talked about playing football in Texas and how different it was." So, what did he think about some of his other potential future mates? "Tyler Compton was a good guy to hang out with, if he decides to come to Georgia Tech too, I'm sure he's one I'd end up being good friends with," said Cox.

Cox is already thinking about getting to campus during the summer to join the team in workouts. On his position he says, "I'm most likely going to be a Guard but I could play Center down the road." Cox prefers to play Guard though since he's never played Center before but will play wherever it gets him on the field quicker.

Georgia Tech isn't the only place Cox has visited. He's taken unofficial visits to see Central Florida, Wake Forest, North Carolina, and Florida. He had other division one offers from UNC, Louisville, and UCF. Randall says he's up to 6'3" and 280 pounds.
