Kevin Haslam has returned to his home in New Jersey from another trip to the south. He has already visited Central Florida and South Florida and this weekend he took an official visit to see Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia. So how did the visit go for Kevin? Haslam says, "It was a really good visit. I liked the school a lot. I was impressed with what they had to offer academic-wise and football-wise. My mom was in love with the school as well, so that's actually a plus." Who else joined Kevin on his trip this weekend? "It was me, my mom, my younger brother and my mom's boyfriend," said Haslam.

Kevin got to enjoy the usual on his official visit: food, food and more food. Haslam says, "We went to this steak place, Ruth's Chris. After that we had breakfast at the hotel and we had lunch at ESPN Zone, which was really cool. And we also had a steak dinner for the dinner Saturday night, so it was pretty good. They fed you real well over there."

Kevin was hosted by freshman defensive end, Darrell Robertson. Haslam says, "I hung out with him Saturday and Friday night and I got to meet some other players as well." "When we went to go eat, all of the recruits were there but I spent time with Darrell and my family. And I talked to Coach (Joe) D'Alessandris (offensive line coach) because I was the only lineman there. So, I didn't really have a chance to talk the other recruits." Coach D'Alessandris is also the coach who is recruiting Kevin, which seemed to go over well with him. Haslam says, "That's very comfortable when the coach who's recruiting you is also your position coach."

So, is Kevin any closer to making a decision on his college choice? Haslam says, "Right now I'm narrowing down my schools. I decided not to go to Hofstra and Central Florida. I've narrowed it down to South Florida and Georgia Tech. I have a visit coming up to Rutgers but I'm trying to still talk out with my mom to see if I'm actually going on it or not or if I'm going to stick between Georgia Tech and South Florida."

When would a possible decision be made? Haslam says, "To be sure, I'll have to sit down with my mom and my coach. My mom wants to sit down with my coach and actually think it out but she's real impressed with the academics there at Georgia Tech. So my coach and her and I are going to sit down and talk about it to see what we're going to go with."
