Jackets Add 1st In-State Commitment

Robert Hall of Hawkinsville has been instrumental in leading his Red Devil team to Back to Back State Championships. He's going to keep representing the home state on the next level.

Robert Hall is a defensive end that has starred at Hawkinsville for two seasons already and he has two state championships to show for it. Yesterday, he decided that he was going to keep representing the home state.

"He committed to Georgia Tech yesterday," said Hawkinsville Head Coach Lee Campbell. "They were the first school to offer him, and he wants to be an engineer. He has a high GPA, and he really liked it up there when he went."

Hall had an offer from Ole Miss as well as Georgia Tech, and several teams including Purdue, Vanderbilt, and Duke were on the verge of getting an offer letter in the mail.

On a related note, Trey Dunmon signed with Georgia Tech as a member of the Class of 2005, and he lost a lot of weight during the season and battling illness. Now healthy and focused in the weight room, Dunmon is back up to 265 pounds and will battle for a spot on the depth chart this summer.
