Does Jeff have any favorites at this time? Sponsky said, "No, he likes them all. He was impressed with Michigan State with the fact that they used three Tight Ends at a time in the spring game. He liked the atmosphere. He likes the coaches at West Virginia. He was very impressed with Rutgers' facilities. Every school has their own special thing. Louisville's offense… the Quarterback… the Brohm kid. He's intrigued with the academics and the affiliation with the ACC with Georgia Tech. And with Coach (Ron) Zook at Illinois. I don't know what will be the deciding factor for him. I really don't know."
Will Jeff be attending any summer camps? Coach said, "He hasn't solidified anything right now. He's going to wait through May and see what the people have to say and go from there."
In regards to Georgia Tech, Coach Sponsky says he's dealt with, "Coach (Joe) D'Alessandris and Coach (Buddy) Geis. I know Coach D'Alessandris in fact is coming in this morning to talk to Jeff. Both guys are great guys. Georgia Tech speaks for itself and then you have two quality coaches like that. It just adds to the intrigue probably for Jeff." "Coach Geis is an Altoona (Penn.) native. That's a half hour, 20 miles from here, so they're familiar with the football up here."
When asked about other division-one players Tech has looked at on his team Sponsky mentioned, "Paul Forcellini who Georgia Tech is interested in but hasn't offered yet." Paul plays RB/OLB for Bishop Carroll HS but projects as a defensive back/slot receiver/athlete at the next level.
