Colin McCarthy, Scout.com's #33 linebacker in the country, is being pursued by some of the heavyweights of college football. With some official visits already in the books for him, Colin is looking ahead to his final two visits.

"Right now I plan on visiting Georgia Tech and Miami," McCarthy said. "The Georgia Tech one is coming up this weekend for the Georgia game." Colin says he'll arrive on, "Saturday; we've still got a game on Friday night."

Colin has already knocked out his first three visits.

"I've been to Ohio State, Nebraska and Indiana," McCarthy said.

Two of the visits so far have stuck out in his mind.

"The two visits that I really liked were the Ohio State and Nebraska one," McCarthy said. "Indiana wasn't quite as good as those two."

Between the schools he has visited and the ones coming up, Colin was able to narrow his list to a top four.

"I'd probably say right now it's between Georgia Tech, Ohio State, Nebraska and Miami so far," McCarthy said.

Colin has a few things he's looking for in a school

"They've all talked about me coming in and getting a chance to play early which is always a good thing," McCarthy said. "And then as far as getting along with the coaching staff, I have no problems with those programs as far as that. As far as winning tradition and team hopefully I'll compete for a National Championship every year. Other than that, there's not a whole lot to it… A good college campus academically, and the schools as far as the top four I'm in right now, all four of them are very good in academics."

Colin mentioned the Florida-California All-star game on December 31st when discussing the timeframe on a possible decision on his college choice.

"I'm playing in an all-star game coming up and then after that, probably a week after that, hopefully I'll make a decision," McCarthy said.
