"I committed to Georgia Tech yesterday," Tongo said. "I just sat down and prayed about it for a little bit and thought about it and Tech was the best place for me. I think they have the best blend of academics and football that I could possibly have. They make it to bowl games every year and they are one of the top public educations. Those things alone helped me decide and I definitely felt comfortable on my official visit when I was down there."
The depth chart for Tech was also an attraction for Tongo, as starting middle linebacker Gerris Wilkinson is a senior and there isn't a lot of proven depth beyond next season's projected starters.
"That was one of my deciding factors too because the depth chart isn't too deep," Tongo said. "I hope to challenge for a spot and hopefully earn some playing time."
Osahon has already decided on his major.
"I'm going into Management major; Business Management," Tongo said.
Osahon was asked about which of Tech's coaches he had the most interaction with and were instrumental in recruiting him to GT.
Laughing Tongo said, "You got a list? Coach (Chan) Gailey and Coach (Brian) Jean-Mary came by my house last week. So I got to talk with them for a while. And then this week Coach (David) Wilson came with Coach Jean-Mary. And my recruiting coach was Coach (Craig) Page."
With the recruiting now out of the way, what does Osahon look forward to the most about Tech?
"Well now I'd have to say the weather because it's cold up here in Chicago," Tongo said. "But I'm definitely just looking forward to seeing the campus and just the whole atmosphere there."
