Is Batchelor Still Solid?

Alabama OL Heath Batchelor committed to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets back in the month of October. Recently however it had been rumored that he may be having second thoughts about that decision. caught up with Heath on Wednesday night and he addressed the issue.

"Oh no sir I'm not backing off I don't reckon. I am committed to Georgia Tech," Heath Batchelor said.

Earlier on Wednesday, Heath's mom suggested that a problem with his commitment to the Jackets may be that the Institute does not offer a degree in education.

"They cleared it up and they said something about going to Georgia State but I'm still concerned about that a little bit. I don't know about all of that."

Despite the concerns, Heath expects to remain a Yellow Jacket.

"I really don't think it will stop me from going there but I definitely think it's something to think about when you have to go to that other place (Georgia State). I don't figure it will turn me though (from his commitment)."

Batchelor had an in-home with the GT coaches last week.

"Coach D and Coach Gailey came to see me last Wednesday and it went good. We got to sit down and talk. Mom cooked for them and we had a good time."

Troy State has continued to heavily recruit Heath even though he' committed to the Jackets. Recently coaches from Auburn and Arkansas have also thrown their hats into the ring but it appears as if the Haleyville standout will play in Atlanta next fall. Top Stories
