Chris Neild returned from his high school basketball game on Monday night and spoke with GoJackets.com's Dale McDuffie.

How did your team play tonight? "We played well but we lost by 10 or so points but it was a great game."

What position do you play on the team? "I play power forward and I like playing the inside game a lot."

So, how is the football recruiting coming along? "It's coming along great. I have been to Syracuse and Georgia Tech and have visits left UNC, North Carolina State, and West Virginia."

Are those the five schools that you will basically make your choice from? "Yes sir, it's down to those five. I am visiting UNC and West Virginia to see what they are about and decide if they rank up there with GT, Syracuse, and NC State."

So, GT, Syracuse, and NC State are your top three? "Yes sir, they are and all three have a lot going for them."

Which of the three stands out right if any? "Right now I'd say GT and Syracuse are the ones that stand out to me. I've been to Syracuse a good bit over the past year and have gotten to know the new coaching staff real well. Plus they are close to home too. Georgia Tech campus is great. The environment around it is great. I think the campus is beautiful and I like how the Olympic Village is set up there too."

What position are you being recruited? So far of the three that I have been in contact with, NC State is recruiting me as a linebacker. Georgia Tech is recruiting me to play on the defensive line and Syracuse is recruiting me at both linebacker and the defensive line."

Chris went on to say that for Georgia Tech that Coach D. (Coach D'Alessandris) is recruiting him at Georgia Tech but that he got to meet Coach Smith at Georgia Tech and that he really liked him. "Coach Smith is a great guy. He is a wild guy and is fun to be around."
