As their teams roll toward the playoffs, Georgia Tech's recruits put up some nice performances this weekend including a huge tournament effort and a "shattering" home display.

Zach Peacock - Zack and his state #6 Norland squad played for the GMAC (Dade County) Tournament Championship against state #1 Krop Friday night. This was the third of 5 possible meetings for these two teams this year (regional and state tourneys still to come) and both had won on their home floor. Norland was able to take advantage of Krop missing its best player and won a hard fought 48-44 game. Zach had a huge game with 24 pts, 14 rbs, and 2 steals. He also hit a key three-pointer to give Norland the lead for good in the second half. Zach continues to show improved shooting with 3-pt range.

Thaddeus Young - Thad had a routine 28 pt performance in a 108-58 blowout of Southside. The real news was that Thad shattered a backboard in a pep rally earlier in the day and ended up spending most of the day autographing shards of glass. Mitchell is currently undefeated in their region and play 2nd place Oakhaven Tuesday night. Thad is averaging 27 ppg.

Brad Sheehan - Brad had a routine 15 pts in a 72-50 blowout win over Saratoga Springs in his final regular season game. Shaker finished 13-1 in the Suburban Council standings claiming the regular season title.

Gani Lawal - Gani and his Norcross squad traveled to LA for the Nike Extravaganza where it lost to #8 nationally ranked Fairfax 72-56. Gani's stats were not immediately available.
