Cameron, what schools are in contact with you the most and seem to be recruiting you the hardest? "Right now I have several schools that stay in constant contact with me. They are Pittsburgh, Georgia Tech, UGA, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Maryland, Auburn, Ohio State, Duke, Boston College, and Virginia for football."
You have me intrigued on how you put that. Do you plan on playing in another sport in college too? "Oh yes sir I do. I want to play both football and basketball. Right now South Carolina, FSU, UGA, Pittsburgh, Virginia, and Notre Dame are recruiting me for basketball."
Okay, it seems you have different schools recruiting you for football and different ones for basketball. Football wise who stands out the most to you and who stands out the most to you in basketball? Well, in football Pittsburgh, UGA, Mississippi State, and Ole Miss are the ones that I am leaning to right now. In basketball, FSU, Notre Dame, and Pittsburgh are the ones that I like best."
Could that list change any? "Yes sir, if Georgia Tech offers me a scholarship, they would move up my list a lot."
Speaking of scholarships, who has offered ones thus far? "Right now Pittsburgh, Ole Miss. Auburn, and Maryland are the only ones to offer me a scholarship."
When you are looking at these schools, what will factor in the most, playing time, winning tradition, coaches or academics? "I have to say academics will out weigh everything in my decision other than feeling that school is the most comfortable place for me."
I see you are playing defensive tackle in high school. Would you like to stay on the inside or move out to defensive end or even move over to the offensive line? "It really doesn't matter except that I'd like to stay on the defensive side of the line. A few of the schools recruiting me are saying they would like to see me on the outside and play defensive end and that is okay with me."
Have you made any visits to any of these schools you have listed? "Yes sir, I went to both Georgia Tech and UGA Junior Days and I have made an unofficial visit to Pittsburgh."
Anything stand out at these three schools you've seen so far? "I would say so. Georgia Tech's facilities are really awesome, they stood out big time and I really liked them."
Scout.com will keep up with Cameron as he has a lot of schools after him in not only football but basketball and he has a lot of work ahead of him to decide on what college is right for him.
