DJ, do you have any firm offers on the table right now? "Yes, sir, I do. I have offers from 7 schools. Georgia, Georgia Tech, Purdue, South Carolina, Tennessee, Florida, and Florida State all have offered me a scholarship as of this past week. Those are the ones recruiting me the hardest right now. Georgia is recruiting me more than the others but I hear from all of them but Georgia is working me the hardest right now."

Do you have a favorite of those 7? "Right now I would say that are all about even since it is so early in the year and a lot can change from now and next signing day."

I see you are listed at 6'3" and 195 pounds, do you plan on playing safety or are there any other positions you would or want to play? "I like playing safety but wide receiver is a position that would suit me just fine too."

How does playing time factor into your decision when it gets closer in time for you making a decision on your school? Would you oppose to red shirting or playing right away is something that you'd rather do? "I'm looking to play right away, I feel that I'm able to contribute right away and I hope that I can when I do get to the college of my choice."

How much does academics play in which college you will choose? "It will play a large part; I want the best of both from the school I choose. I don't want a easy major just to get through school, I want something that will help me after sports is done with in my life."

Since academics are a big part of your decision, what do you plan on majoring in when you do go to college? "I want to major in Computer Science or some sort of Computer Engineering degree, I really enjoy that area."

During the summer do you plan on going to any camps? "Yes sir, I will go to the one at UGA and I might go to one more, not sure yet."

How about playing in state versus going out of state, is that something that will swing your decision one way or another? "No sir, not at all, if an out of state school is one I feel is best for me, I will go out of state, that's not a problem. I just want to go to a college that can give me the best combination of sports and academics and one that I feel most comfortable with sports, academic and the college life and experiences."

DJ did mention that his favorite NFL player is Chad Johnson which to me means he would like to be a WR in college but he seems to open to playing either WR or safety.
