Jackets fall to Terps, 6-3

The Jackets surrendered 4 runs in the first two innings and never recovered as they fell to the Terrapins, 6-3 Saturday.

Georgia Tech 3 - Maryland 6

Starting a day early in place of the injured Tim Gustafson, David Duncan was touched up for 4 runs in two innings of work. Jared Hyatt kept the Jackets in the game until the 8th when he surrendered two runs. Brad Rulon pitched the final 2/3 of an inning.

The Jacket hitters were unable to come up with the clutch hit with runners in scoring position tonight. Andy Hawranick and Wally Crancer each had two hits and Wes Hodges chipped in with a homerun.

Ryan Turner will get the start tomorrow as Tim Gustafson's sore shoulder will keep him out of the weekend series. Turner was the winning pitcher in his last outing on Tuesday.
