Georgia ATH Takes Visit to Tech

Charlton County's D.J. Donley is one of the top players in the Peach State for the class of 2007 and over the weekend he chose to make the drive north to Atlanta for a visit to the home-state Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Read all about the trip right here with Scout.com.

"I went to Georgia Tech on Saturday. I liked it. Their scrimmage was canceled due to weather but we got to sit in on some meetings and it was cool. All the coaches were very friendly. Coach Geis is the most enthusiastic coach I've ever been around," D.J. Donley said.

The Folkston native also got to spend some time with the head Yellow Jacket.

"I went to Coach Gailey's office and he let me know he thought Georgia Tech was the best fit for me academically. I really liked hearing what he had to say about the new offense too."

What did he think of the Midtown campus?

"The campus was smaller than some I've seen and I liked that. I got to see the weight room and I liked how all of that was set up also."

He names a top four at this time.

"I'd have to say I like Georgia Tech, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. There really is no favorite yet."

D.J. is also looking at taking another visit to one of his favorite schools before the week is out.

"I might try to make it to South Carolina before spring break gets over this week."
