"I liked it a lot," he said. "First, we went to an academic meeting and then we took a tour of the facilities. I also met with Coach [Chan] Gailey. He's a good man. I like him a lot. They want me to play mike linebacker."
Casey recently added an offer from Utah, to go along with previous offers from Tech, Tennessee, Arizona State and Oregon. He said the Jackets are near the top of his list, though he said he does not have a concrete top five at this time.
"I've always liked Georgia Tech," he said. "They're one of my top [choices]."
Casey said he spent time with fellow Tech recruit Sidney Haynes, who was also on campus, while visiting Atlanta. Former Tech standout, and New York Giants draftee, Gerris Wilkinson, and backup quarterback Taylor Bennett also visited with Casey.
"I'm not sure when I'll make my decision, but distance won't be a factor," said Casey. "It'll all come down to if I like the school, fit in well and my parents like the school."
Casey said there is a good possibility he will use one of his official visits on the Yellow Jackets in the fall.
"I want to go out for a game," he said.
