Yellow Jackets Receive Third Commitment

Johnson County High School linebacker Brad Jefferson decided to make an early decision. Jefferson becomes Georgia Tech's third verbal commitment of the 2007 class.

"I committed to Georgia Tech around 11:00 a.m.," said Brad Jefferson from Wrightsville, (Ga.). "I told my coach about my decision, and he called the coaches to let them know."

"It feels real good to be committed right now. I am not sure if I will take any other visits or not."

The 6-0, 210-pound linebacker had several reasons for going ahead with an early decision.

"Georgia Tech felt like home," Jefferson said. "I really like both their academic and football program."

"Coach Giff Smith was my recruiting coach. I really like him a lot. He is a real good guy."

Jefferson chose the Yellow Jackets over a scholarship offer from Duke. Top Stories
