Peach State LB Commits to GT

Kyle Jackson is a linebacker prospect that has gotten more and more attention as we progress through the summer months. The Union Grove standout already had some solid offers on the table but when he got the one he wanted from Georgia Tech, he decided to go ahead and commit on the spot.

"I committed to Georgia Tech about 3 hours ago. I talked to coach Gailey after we ate lunch and he told me I could make a decision whenever I want. I told him I wanted to go ahead and commit," Kyle Jackson said.

Why did he choose the Jackets?

"I committed to Georgia Tech for 3 reasons. They have great academic support. I can compete on national level with a team who's been to 9 straight bowl games and who I think can compete for an ACC title the next 4 years. Lastly, it's a place where I fit in well with the coaching staff."

Chan Gailey is one of the true gentlemen in college football and Kyle was highly impressed with the head man on the Flats.

"I love Coach Gailey. He's a family guy and very family oriented. He looks out for his players and he's about to turn Tech into a program to be reckoned with."

Jackson is an important recruit for the middle of GT's defense.

"They like me at Mike backer right now. I think I'll have a shot to compete for playing time by my sophomore season. They didn't sign a middle linebacker last year."

The Union Grove standout knew all along that Tech was the place for him.

"I'm not the type of guy that needs to take all 5 visits and beat around the bush. I knew this is where I wanted to be so I went ahead and committed." Top Stories
