James Scott has been busy with the recruiting process ever since the spring and the talented Daytona Beach (Fla.) Seabreeze cornerback decided it was time for a little break.

"I'm in Georgia Tech staying with my brother (Kenny Scott) right now for a couple weeks," Scott said. "I just needed a little time to relax."

Scott, 5-foot-10 and 175 pounds, is one of the top cornerback prospects in the entire state. While he hasn't been to any camps this summer, he did squeeze in an unofficial visit to Ohio State last month.

"I went up there a few weeks ago," he said. "It went good. It was a nice experience. I saw the school, the campus, and I saw how much tradition they have. I didn't know about that. It was a good visit."

Scott says he's still considering seven schools with three of them having the inside track right now.

"I'm still considering Florida, Ohio State, Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, LSU, and Georgia Tech's in the picture now," he said. "Florida, Ohio State, and Alabama are the ones I like the most."

The talented defensive back was asked what factors he'll consider when narrowing down his list later in the year.

"I'll look at academics, tradition, playing time, and the coaches style," he said. "I just wanna feel comfortable wherever I go."
