Charlton County's D.J. Donley is one of the top players in the Peach State for the class of 2007. Last week, he listed Georgia Tech as his leader. Will the Jackets land another early commitment from this bigtime recruit or will it be one of his other top two?

Here is an excerpt from last week's interview with Donley courtesy of Dale McDuffie of GoJackets.com.

D.J., how is the recruiting coming so far this summer?

"Well sir, I have to say I have a big leader for my recruitment. Georgia Tech is by far my leader right now. They are way ahead of any other school that is recruiting me."

Can we see a commitment soon then?

"I'm not sure when I will commit but I have to say GT is one that is my favorite and I will give a bit of time to make sure."

What has made Georgia Tech your favorite?

"I've been to campus 4 or 5 times and I really love it there. I am comfortable there when I visit and I can see me fitting right in on campus. Plus the coaches are all great. Coach Gailey and his staff are great and I feel real comfortable with everyone of them."

Are there any other schools that you are looking at besides Georgia Tech?

"The only other schools I would consider would be Florida or South Carolina, but Georgia Tech will be very hard to beat."

Do you have a time table as to when you want to make it official to which college you will commit to?

"No sir, my Mom told me to take my time to be sure but she told me that if I woke up one morning and felt it was time to announce to go ahead and get it over with.

It looks like Georgia Tech will be adding another standout to its growing list of top notch players they have so far!
