Jonathon, how do you feel your recruitment is going?
"It is going great. I have a lot of teams that I am looking at and I am enjoying the process.
Do you have any leaders at this point?
"No sir, none really at this point. I would have to say all are even. I'd like to look at each school and see what they have to offer. My parents have favorites though; they want me to play for an ACC team or a SEC team."
"It doesn't hurt their chances at all. Just because one back commits doesn't mean that another one shouldn't. Georgia Tech went through a lot of running backs a couple of years ago and Choice is close to graduating, so a team needs more than one running back to be successful. I'd enjoy the competition with Roddy if I chose Georgia Tech."
"Maybe or maybe not. It would be great to play with them as teammates as we have become very good friends. But in the end, I have to do what is best for me whether it is playing with them or with another school."
What factors are most important to you in making your decision?
"First and foremost, it is academics and the academic support system. They have to be top notch. God willing, I'd love to play in the NFL but I know anything can happen so I want a quality education to back me up. I want to major in business and if the NFL isn't in my future, I would love to be an entrepreneur and own my own business."
What camps have you attended?
"I went to the Georgia Tech camp a while back which was very competitive and fast pace. I had a great time. I am going to a camp at Auburn tomorrow and will be going to Friday Night Lights at Florida next weekend. I plan on going to see Ohio State and Michigan, maybe take official visits to them."
Speaking of official visits, if you do take ones to Ohio State and Michigan, who will get your other three visits?
"If I do make official visits to them, then the other three will come from the schools out of the ACC or SEC."
Which schools are recruiting you the hardest right now?
How long do you think it will be before you reach a decision on which school you will go to?
"Well, I'd like to make sure I make the right decision and not hurry and make a mistake. I plan on sorting through the process and making a decision after my season or after the first of the year. I want to make the right decision and I have a plan that I want to follow."
Jonathon is not only a talented running back but a bright young man with a good head on his shoulders that has good plan to follow in choosing his college for the next 4 to 5 years.
