The Gilberts are excited about coming to Tech and the recruiting class they are putting together. Mr. Gilbert has already gotten his football season tickets. He mentioned that Joseph is still getting calls from school like UGA, LSU, and Auburn. Joseph has told them that he's not interested. Joseph is taking some junior college courses that he'll be able to transfer over to Tech.

Mr. Gilbert was surprised to find out how many Tech fans there were in Bartow Co. after his son committed. He wouldn't mind Joseph taking a redshirt in order for Georgia Tech Director of Player Development Eric Ciano to have him for a year. He stated that the Yellow Jacket staff is head and shoulders above any other staff that they have come in contact with.

Joseph is now finished with wrestling and is starting to put back the weight he lost. He's up to 283. He wants to play this year at 290 and hopes not to lose any speed by doing so. He'll be playing tackle this season.
