What is it like to be a top rated defensive lineman in this recruiting class? Is it just a lot of pressure or are you having fun with it and are enjoying the recruiting process?
"It's just pressure because people ask you everyday where you are going and all that. So I'm just like, 'wherever the wind blows me on Signing Day.'"
So you don't anticipate making a final commitment until Signing Day?
"Somebody told me that I'm playing in the Army game so I might do it there."
Are you no longer committed to Florida?
What happened with Florida to make you de-commit from them?
"I just feel that if I'm looking around at other schools, I don't want anyone counting on me on Signing Day if I was to switch. If I was 100%, I would stay committed but I'm looking at other schools right now; giving them a chance to look for somebody else if I don't end up going there."
Which are the schools that are currently your finalist?
You didn't mention Florida on your list. Are they out of consideration all together now?
"I don't know about Florida; those are the schools I'm looking at now."
D'Angelo gave his thoughts on Georgia Tech specifically.
It's a good location in Atlanta. I've got a couple of friends going there. I need to be around people that I know.
So some of the kids who are already committed there are talking to you?
I've been knowing Mario Butler for a while. He doesn't really try to make me come there, we're just talking. I was with Jacoby Monroe today. We were taking our Super 11 pictures today. They take the best 11 players out of the city. Mario's around like everyday, but I talk to Jacoby whenever I see him around.
Are any other recruits trying to persuade you to join them at schools they have already chosen or plan to pick?
DeMarcus Van Dyke, he wants me to come up to Miami with him. I told him I'm going to look at it. Deonte Thompson, we're supposed to go out to Southern Cal for a little visit. We don't really know where we're going to go but I've been talking to them lately.
What factors will go into your decision in picking a school?
Academics and do I know some people in the program; because I can't be by myself. I have to know a couple of people. And next thing is location and winning tradition.
Is distance much of a factor?
Now distance doesn't really matter. I'd go anwhere.
How about the upcoming season as a factor? Will you pay a lot of attention to teams' outcomes to help determine where you'll go?
No. Most likely if you win one National Championship, you're not going to win it like back-to-back. It's very rarely that teams do that. So, I don't look at that.
Have you set up any visits yet?
