Inside linebacker prospect Josh Linam committed to Central Florida back in June. This weekend he watched as the Central Florida Golden Knights lost 24-17 to rival South Florida. Though Josh states he is firmly committed to UCF, there is another visit planned to a different school later in the season.

Linam is from Tavares, Florida, a small town about an hour north of Orlando likes the fact that UCF is close to home as a factor when he made his decision. "It's close to home; I liked that and the chance of playing early is what really appealed to me," said Linam. He is also big on the support system that the Golden Knights offer. As for his future head coach George O'Leary, Josh said, "He's a real straight-forward, no-nonsense kind of guy."

Josh says he's solidly committed to Coach O'Leary's team at UCF but a couple of other schools have always been of interest to him as well. "Once you commit to him, you know, he expects you to come, but I still have an interest in Georgia Tech and one or two other schools," said Linam. The other school he mentioned as having interest in was Florida. Between Tech and Florida, only the Yellow Jackets still have an outstanding offer to Josh.

Look for Josh to venture up to Atlanta to take in the homecoming game for GT. "Actually, I have an official visit to Tech in October (28th) for the Miami game," said Linam. In the recruiting process Josh has befriended Tech LB commit Kyle Jackson, who he'll get a chance to run into at the game as well. The Tech visit is the only other visit currently set up for Josh.
