Darrius Barksdale, Scout.com's #1 rated prospect for the Magnolia state and Top 100 member, had played cornerback for the Tigers as a sophomore but is now going both ways for South Panola.

"I like playing running back. It feels pretty natural, but to tell you the truth, I still think free safety is my best position. That is what I will most likely play in college," added the 6' 1", 190 pound junior.

Last Friday South Panola set the State Record (52) for consecutive wins. Darrius chipped in with 108 rushing yards and 2 TD's.

For the season, Barksdale now has 612 yards and 9 TD's for the 7-0 Tigers. On the defensive side of the ball, Darrius has 3 int's and 29 tackles.

Darrius had this to say about his favorite colleges at the Army All-American press conference for teammate, Chris Strong.

"Georgia Tech, Florida, and FSU are my favorite schools. I like how they play their defensive backs. Nobody has offered me yet, but I am getting letters from just about pretty much everybody."
