Georgia Tech is looking for one more linebacker to fill out that position for the 2007 class. They could have found that guy today in 6'1", 208-pound Albert Rocker from Sparkman High School located in Harvest, Ala.

South Carolina, Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt, Purdue, Louisville, and Troy had all offered Albert but a source has indicated that he has committed to the Yellow Jackets today. Scout.com is working on confirming that information with Albert himself.

Rocker's high school coach Roger Haynes was asked about the news and stated, "It wouldn't surprise me because Georgia Tech has been recruiting him really hard and he really likes them a lot. He was supposed to go to South Carolina for a visit, but Georgia Tech only had one scholarship left for a linebacker and they wanted him to commit."

In an interview Rocker did with Scout.com's Alan NeSmith last week, Albert said about GT Defensive Coordinator Jon Tenuta, "I think Tenuta is one of the best defensive coordinators in the NCAA. They have a lot of young linebackers there that are playing a lot better than more experienced linebackers in the NCAA." "Atlanta is a big city too; there are a lot of people to meet and that's a plus."

We'll keep you posted as soon as this commitment is confirmed with Albert.
