Two of Georgia Tech's recruits from the highly touted class of 2007 suffered injuries during the season. WR Tyler Melton, from Texas, suffered an ACL injury and LB Kyle Jackson, a local prospect from Union Grove High, tore his lateral meniscus. Kyle informed GoJackets.com of his progress from injury.

"Yeah, I tore my lateral meniscus practicing for the first round of the playoffs," said Jackson. "I actually have surgery tomorrow morning (Thursday) at 6am up at Emory hospital in Atlanta. But it was really bad timing because it halted me from another 100+ tackle season. I ended up with 91 but was on my way to passing last year's 110. They're saying rehab will take anywhere from 2-6 months, but I'm going to work my tail off to make sure I'm full speed within two months again."

Tech fans wish Kyle well and hope for a speedy recovery from his surgery on Thursday. Kyle has been nicknamed "The Ambassador" for all of his work in helping bring in other top prospects to join him in this recruiting class. After he committed to Georgia Tech in July, he was followed up shortly thereafter by friends and fellow Georgia prospects Willie White, Roddy Jones, Logan Walls, and D.J. Donley.
