Brad Jefferson, the 12th ranked WLB in rankings of WLB talked with Tuesday night about his future with Georgia Tech.

Brad, you were an early verbal to Georgia Tech and then other teams saw how talented you are during your senior season, are you glad you made Georgia Tech your college choice?

"Ye sir, I am at that. Georgia Tech is a special school that has all the qualities I am looking for in a school. It was the best of everything for me."

There was small blurb in the Macon Telegraph and News stating that you might open up your recruiting process if Coach Gailey left Georgia Tech. Is that true?

"No sir, not at all. It is not even close to being true. I am very committed to the Yellow Jackets, 100%. In fact I went to South Carolina for a visit with my Dad as my first school early last summer and then went to Georgia Tech with my Mom to visit them. I then went back with my Mom and Dad to make another visit to Georgia Tech and knew right then that this was the place for me and that I didn't need or want to visit any other school. I never, not once thought about another school after my visit to Georgia Tech."

Brad, I see you are in the middle of Georgia territory, how did you become so enamored with Georgia Tech?

"Football is a sport I like watching because it is a great sport and I watch it because I like it not because of one team. Well, I grew up not liking any one team. I like to make my own decisions and not be a follower just because everybody likes a certain school."

How do you think you will fit in the defense for Georgia Tech next year? "I know they are moving Gary Guyton to the middle and with Phillip Wheeler on one outside spot, I think I can come in and play some right away on the other outside spot. I know we will be loaded on defense next year, so any playing time I get will be great. I think myself Kyle Jackson, and Albert Rocker will add great depth to an already talented linebacking group. We should be set for a good while at linebacker."

Do you feel that the commitments that are coming in with you this year will stay together or will Georgia Tech lose any of them?

"From what we as a group have been talking about, all of us are very committed to Georgia Tech. We are very close as a group and talk a lot to one another. If we lose any it will be surprising to us. We are all looking forward to playing for Georgia Tech and are excited about this class." Top Stories
