Jason Peters took a few minutes out of his busy Sunday evening to talk to Scout.com about the remaining weeks of his recruiting process. Jason has a top four schools he will definitely visit and two schools that might get his last visit but that s not a sure bet. Jason is a top notch player on the defensive line that any school in the country would love to have him on their team.

Jason, what visits have you made so far? "I went to Georgia Tech on the weekend of December 8th and I just got home from Nebraska today."

How would you say your visit to Nebraska went? "It was good visit, very nice."

How would you compare the two visits? Georgia Tech has a great academic program and a great football program. I like that Georgia Tech is a campus that you couldn't tell you were in a big city. Nebraska has a great football program and is well known for their success in football."

What visits do you have planned now that you have gone to Georgia Tech and Nebraska? "I know for a fact I am going to visit LSU and Florida. I may or may not go to Notre Dame or Alabama as my 5th visit as I'm just not sure about talking my fifth visit."

I'm sure you have heard the rumors about Coach Gailey interviewing with Pittsburgh and Miami. Will that make an effect on whether you keep Georgia Tech in your top schools or not? "No sir, I am looking at each school on its own merit. I know coaches can come and go. I will choose the school own its own merits."

So who are the main coaches at Georgia Tech recruiting you? "Coach Modkins is my main recruiting coach but I've spoken with Coach Smith and Coach BJ too."

With LSU getting two very good defensive tackles and a good defensive end, does that make a difference in your decision with them? "No sir, I know no matter what school I pick, I will have to compete for playing time and that isn't a problem for me."

So, picking a school that has a player you feel you might be able to bond with doesn't play a part either? "No sir, just like a coach leaving, a player can have various circumstances that can cause him to not be a part of the team, you have to choose a school you feel comfortable with."

When you get to college, what is your plan as for a major? "I want to major in biology."

What would you say has more weight in making your decision, academics or playing time or football tradition? "I'd have to say academics would come first but football tradition is important too."

So we have you already made two visits and two more visits that are certain. Where does that leave you as in a timetable for making a decision to announce the school of your choice? "I want to make a decision within the next two weeks."

Jason is not only talented but you can tell by talking to this young man, he is a very smart student and has a very good head on his shoulders. Jason and I have set a time to talk again and hopefully he will have a choice for me to write up and announce as his college he will be attending the next four years.
