It's That Time Again!

Ah, back to football, gotta love it! There were some familiar faces out there today and some new ones. The familiar included all of the returning players, many of the usual parents who attend practices, and lots of the regular practice folks.

Ah, back to football, gotta love it! There were some familiar faces out there today and some new ones. The familiar included all of the returning players, many of the usual parents who attend practices, and lot of the regular practice folks.

The new faces included 2 new scholarship players (Threet & Morgan – no pic of Morgan yet), new parents (The Threets were there!), a new coach (007), two recruits and one famous father of a recruit. Justin Tuggle, a QB from Northview HS in Duluth, was in attendance along with his father, former Falcon Jesse Tuggle.

It was my first time to meet Jesse and what a great guy. He stopped and spoke with Rod and me after practice and I was just so happy that he was as cool as I always thought he'd be – believe me sometimes you can really be disappointed when you first meet a sports figure (or other arenas) who you've always admired (I'm sure some of you could tell stories there). Christian Robinson was the other recruit there.

Below is a snipet from today's inaugural spring practice reports:

1. Dan Voss is working his way in as a backup center

2. Andrew Gardner opened at left tackle and A.J. Smith at right tackle. I was told they are going to give this a look just to start out. There's still a chance they'll switch sides.

3. Jacob Lonowski and Cordaro Howard ran laps with Eric . Jake's shoulders are doing well.

4. In the QB drills, Calvin Booker was taking snaps with the 3rd string center.
