James McIver, a 6'4", 330 lb. offensive lineman from Riverwood High School in Atlanta, Georgia. He is not being recruited for a certain position on the line as he is projected to play guard by some, tackle by others. James is receiving interest from many schools including Auburn, Mississippi State, Notre Dame, UConn, Indiana, Vanderbilt, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Boston College, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Maryland, East Carolina, Southern Miss, Duke, Marshall, Alabama, and Louisville. He has already been offered by Vanderbilt, and is hoping on that number increasing.

"Big James" has visited Auburn and Georgia Tech so far. He had a lot to say about both visits.

Auburn: "Auburn is nice. They have got great facilities, really great. I'm not totally sold on them yet though, but don't get me wrong, Auburn's a great place. I could definitely see myself playing in their stadium, it would be electrifying."

Georgia Tech: "Georgia Tech is great. They are close to home and that is really good because I love my Mom and for her to be really close to come watch me play would be great. Location is a key factor. My family enjoyed the visit on Saturday and we'll visit again to see more of the campus. Coach Modkins is the coach there that will evaluate me. I told him I'll be up there Friday to hand in my film. The ball is in Tech's court now. I just want an offer. I told Coach Modkins if I get offered soon, I'll commit right then."

James previously had Notre Dame as his leader, but after visiting Georgia Tech, things have changed. He has high interest in Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, Georgia, and Auburn. Georgia Tech is now his firm leader. He plans on visiting Auburn again, Tech again, and Louisville. He will also be attending Georgia's spring game this Saturday, and will go to Nike Camp at UGA on April 21st.
