Keith Wells, an intriguing defensive end prospect out of Gainesville High School, visited Georgia Tech for a scrimmage on Saturday. Wells has three offers so far from Georgia Tech, North Carolina and Marshall. He says he's enjoying his recruitment but wants to make a commitment before his senior season.

"I want to try to have a decision made sometime before the season, maybe before school starts. It really depends on who has offered me at that time. So then I will be able to make a choice. I am going to enjoy the process, and now I'm just waiting and exploring my options."

Keith lists a top 5 of Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Louisville, and North Carolina. He has Georgia Tech as a strong leader.

When asked about his visit Saturday to Georgia Tech on Junior Day, Wells had this to say:

"It was a pretty good trip. The scrimmage was good. But, I didn't attend all the Junior Day stuff. I've already seen it all there. So, I just was hanging out with all the guys. Stretch (Michael Johnson) and I, and some of the other players were able to hang out too, as if we were teammates. It was cool."

Wells also hung out with future Yellow Jacket Chris Jackson.

"Chris and I just chilled and hung out a little bit. He was all excited and trying to get me to commit, working me pretty hard."

What does he like most about the Jackets?

"Everybody seems like a family. You got to have that," Keith said, "It just seems like everybody gets along great and nobody hates anybody."

Keith is being recruited by special teams Coach Charles Kelly, but also talks to defensive line Coach Giff Smith. He wants to major in aerospace engineering, but he may consider business management.
