Jerrell Harris is a stud linebacker from Gadsden, Alabama. He is receiving high interest from the top schools across the nation including Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Florida, Florida State, Miami, and UCLA. His offer count, previously recorded at 11, has now grown to 13. "Tennessee and USC (Southern Cal) just offered me." Jerrell seems calm and cool with all the big-time attention. "I don't have any favorites, I'm wide open," he said.

Jerrell has already made visits to check out Alabama, Auburn, and Clemson. Recently, he attended Georgia Tech's Junior Day. So how did that go?

"I enjoyed it, had a lot of fun. We watched their scrimmage and I got to meet the coaches and talk with Chan Gailey. Coach D (Joe D'Allesandris), the offensive line coach, is recruiting me. What stood out to me about Georgia Tech, opposed to the other schools, is the education and the emphasis they have on it."

The drive was only an hour and a half for Harris. However, location will not play a factor in his recruitment. Instead, he's looking for a good education, a chance to compete for a championship, playing time, and a good atmosphere when it comes to the variables he wants in a school. He plans to major in Business Administration or Pre-Med.

When playing football, Jerrell likens himself to Ernie Sims cut out of the mold of Karlos Dansby. He has 4.6 speed, benches 285, and squats 500. The hard-hitting Harris says he would like to make a commitment at the Army All-American game in San Antonio next year.
