Luke was looking at West Virginia, but Coach John Beilein's departure for Michigan now has him looking at Ann Arbor. Minnesota is now trying to get in on the action because of new assistant coach Saul Smith's past relationship with Luke. To date, Loucks has visited all the Florida schools, Florida State twice, Florida for a football game, Pittsburgh during a tournament last year, Central Florida a few times because his brother plays basketball there, and recently flew up to Atlanta to see Georgia Tech. He informed us about his visit.
"Two of the basketball managers picked my mother and me up at the airport. I actually went to high school with these guys. I was able to hang out with them for awhile so that was cool. When we got to campus, we first went to Coach Hewitt's office. Then Coach Zaharis and Coach Young showed me around to all the facilities and the rest of the campus. Then I just hung out and chilled with some of the players, and we actually got time at the arena to play a few pick up games. That was good because I was able to associate with some of the players. We ended the evening going to eat at some pizza place for dinner, then I flew back home that night."
Luke enjoyed his visit to Tech. He was impressed with the campus stating that it was like, "a city itself within a big city."
Luke is planning on making a commitment to a school soon to get his recruitment done early, probably sometime in May or maybe early June. He says that there are always a lot of coaches watching him during open gym so he wants to narrow his choices down in the next two weeks.
