Embry Peeples, from Dr. Phillips High in Orlando, Fla., has committed to Georgia Tech. The speedy running back is the second player in the class of 2008 for the Yellow Jackets after WR Chris Jackson committed back in December.

When reached early on Wednesday, Embry wasn't ready to publicly announce his decision, but did hint that the good news for the Yellow Jackets could come soon. Peeples stated that, "I want to major in business," and that the best school in that respect was Tech. He mentioned that his recruiting Coach Curtis Modkins was, "looking for speed and agility," in a running back and that he fit that description. The Yellow Jackets offered Peeples a couple of weeks ago after viewing film on the lightning fast back.

Embry claimed the following as also having offered, "LSU, Georgia Tech, West Virginia, Colorado and a couple others." He stated that he hadn't visited any of those schools yet except for LSU for track.

As for his track career, Peeples races in the 100, 200 and 4x100 for his high school. He mentioned that, "10.48 is my best time in the 100," and that he ran a 4.34 in the 40 last summer.
