Robbie Yakimow, a big lineman out of La Salle High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, was in Atlanta recently visiting his uncle. He really wanted to come check out Georgia Tech, so he did. The 6'6" 280 lb rising junior prospect was able to receive a tour by the AA. This is what he had to say about it:

"Georgia Tech is great. I love the place. It was very nice. I got to see the weight room, locker room, and the field, basically all the athletic facilities. They actually invited me to come to their camp tomorrow, and I think I am gonna go. I just have to get some cleats cause I don't have any with me. I had no idea I'd be coming down and doing this. They said they will begin sending me information and stuff September 1st. Currently, I haven't talked to or seen any other schools."

The 16 year old Georgia Tech fan states that he currently benches 285 lbs (just right now, he says) and squats 465 lbs. He says he runs the forty in about 5.1 or 5 seconds flat usually. Look for updates on Robbie in the future as recruiting for the class of '09 could begin to heat up in just seven months.
