Watson, a three-star back from Florida A&M High in Tallahassee, Fla., called the Yellow Jacket coaches this morning after taking a trip to Atlanta for their camp last weekend.
"Me and my family went up to GT to check them out this weekend," said Watson. "I had a chance to meet the coaches and a lot of the players. They were at the top of my list, and I was thinking about doing it real, real soon."
So Watson called up Coach Gailey and "just said I wanted to commit."
"I felt real comfortable at the school, they always seem to have one of the top rushers in the ACC every year, and they win consistently. They have been to something like ten straight bowl games and they are one of only six schools that can say that."
While consistency is an important factor for Watson, his parents being able to consistently see him play was something that he did not include as a major factor in the final decision.
"We're probably about four hours away from Atlanta , but I wasn't really thinking about it. That would be nice for my family to be able to come up and see me play whenever they want to."
Watson finished his junior season with 2140 yards rushing for 34 touchdowns, ending the season with a 123-yard performance in the state title game."
