As for other schools that used to be among his favorites, he explains their status with him.
"I mean, I haven't eliminated any of these schools," said Wells. "Basically, these are just my three schools that I'm focusing on the most as far as where I can see myself going and thriving the most and possibly taking myself to the next level."
Early in the process, Georgia Tech was a school mentioned by Keith as an early favorite. He explains the Yellow Jackets not making it into his final three.
"The only thing that really got me about Georgia Tech was the fact that I don't want to go anywhere in state," said Wells. "I mean, I sort of want to get away from home and grow up a little. That's the only bad thing about Georgia Tech. That's why Georgia Tech didn't make the three."
Though Wells is focusing his attention out of state, he doesn't see himself taking any more unofficial visits at this time.
"I don't think I'm going to take any more visits this summer," said Wells. "My next couple of visits will possibly be official visits perhaps."
All along, Keith has suggested he would commit before the season began and that still appears to be the case.
"Honestly, I plan on committing within the next couple of weeks," said Wells. "Basically I just wanted to let some of these schools know that I appreciate everything but, at the same time, these are the schools that I'm going with. I guess basically I'm just focusing on these three schools harder than anyone else. I'm not telling anyone, 'don't call me anymore' or 'don't send me letters' or anything like that. It's just these are the three schools that I want to look more in to."
