Tide Turns for Jackson

WR Chris Jackson has made a statement regarding his final recruiting decision. He had been committed to Georgia Tech since December of 2006 but will now attend Alabama. He gives his reasons for the change and sends messages to fans of both GT and Bama.

Chris Jackson has the following statement to make on his final recruiting decision...

"I have made my decision to attend the University of Alabama. This decision was a tough one due to the fact that I was previously committed to Georgia Tech. With the firing of Coach Gailey and other members of the Georgia Tech coaching staff, I opened up my recruitment. I wish all of the members of Georgia Tech the best of luck. Over the last two years I developed many relationships with the coaches, players, recruits and fans at Georgia Tech. I will miss them dearly. My family and I will always be fans and I know that Coach Johnson and Georgia Tech will be successful.

As for the University of Alabama, I am very excited about becoming a member of the Crimson Tide family. Alabama is a great program with tremendous tradition. I look forward to playing football for Coach Saban and his staff. They have done a wonderful job with my recruitment. I will enroll in January and I look forward to competing in the classroom as well as on the field. I'm honored to be a part of the best recruiting class in America and I will give 100% to become the leader of this class. Thanks and Roll Tide!

Chris Jackson"
