Evan, how did your visit to Cal go this past weekend?
"Well, I didn't go. I called Cal and let them know I wasn't coming because I committed to Air Force last Wednesday night. I called the coaches there and let them know that I was coming there."
What attracted you to Air Force?
"As you know from our last conversation, I want to go to law school and they have a program after college that will pay for me to go law school after I do 2 years of service. I hope to train to fly jets in that time as well. Also, the coaches there are really committed to making Air Force better and on my trip there, a lot of good players made their commitment to Air Force and that had been weighing in the back of my mind too."
I seem to recall you mentioning some other things about Air Force last time, is there anything else makes it the place for you?
"Yes sir, it's a special place, great area to live and I had a good overall feeling while I was there. Air Force have good academics, they play good football, and will afford me my dream of going to law school. Add that all up, it was easy to decide on them.
Dale's Take: Well, it seems one of the last few offensive linemen has made a decision on his school and not only is he playing football, he will be serving his country to boot. Good luck to Evan and I hope he gets to live out his dream.
