Did you get a chance to meet Coach Johnson and Coach Brian Jean-Mary?
"Yes sir I talked to them quite a bit that day. I loved them a lot, they were great. In fact they gave me an offer that day too."
Would any of those five be an early favorite?
"Georgia Tech and Georgia are my early favorites with both of them equal."
"I hear from both schools but I am not really interested in them. Of the two, maybe Florida but I don't think I'll be interested in them."
Speaking of hearing from schools, who is recruiting you the hardest right now?
"Easily, it is Georgia Tech. I hear from them every day. In fact I got a letter from Coach BJ just today. Also, the whole coaching staff wrote me the other day. They are recruiting me very hard. I talk to Georgia Tech a lot."
When you get to college, what would you like to major in?
"Well, if I went to Georgia Tech, I would major in Civil Engineering and if I went to Georgia, I would go into maybe accounting or some type of finance."
I know from over the years Valdosta has been a great high school program. How does your team look for this upcoming season?
"Well, we are pretty young but we look to have a great season. I've started for 3 season now and I hope we can have a great season my senior year.
During our conversation, Mike stated that his parents want him to go to a good academic school and that is important to them. Mike is looking forward to the recruiting process and his final year of football at Valdosta High School too. Our conversation was very good and Mike is a pleasure to talk too. He is very open and answers questions thoroughly and expresses himself very well. I'm sure we will have more in-depth and informative talks on the phone in the future.
