Warren, have you attended any Junior Days and are there any lined up in the near future?
"I attended the Junior Day at Georgia Tech and I will be heading over to Alabama this upcoming Saturday followed by a trip to North Carolina State the next Saturday. I will attend Louisville in early April."
How did your trip to Georgia Tech go?
"I had a real good time. I got a chance to meet the coaches and I liked Coach Johnson a lot. He will install an offense at Georgia Tech that is similar to what we run at Chamblee and he also came across at a person that knows what it takes to win. I really liked the head coach. I liked what I found out about Georgia Tech when I was there too."
What positions do you play on your high school team?
On offense I play running back and on defense I play both safety positions. I want to play running back in college, I really like that position."
Do you have any offers to date?
"I have a verbal offer from Georgia Tech and my coach tells me that Alabama will be offering me real soon, possibly this weekend at their Junior Day."
Do you have any teams that you would consider your favorite?
Could you see yourself playing for another team besides those two?
"Oh yes sir, most definitely. Just because I liked them as a kid doesn't mean I am locked into them as the only teams I would consider."
If you had to name five schools today to set up as your official visits, which five would get the visits?
I noticed that the two big state schools of Georgia Tech and Georgia are absent from that list, is there a reason for that?
"Both schools are so close that I can visit them unofficially and I know I will at different times during the next year."
Are you considering Georgia Tech or Georgia?
"Georgia Tech is on my list for sure, but Georgia always has running backs and I don't feel I would be a fit for them. I will not rule Georgia Tech out at all."
How about you as player, tell me what you feel your strong points are?
"I have good speed and I do not hesitate to hit the hole as quick as I can. I am not afraid to lower my shoulder and hit the defender at all, I don't shy away from contact. I also play hard every down, I don't slack off."
What do you feel you need to improve on?
"My endurance, I'd like to be able to be a work horse as a ball carrier. Also, I need to improve my footwork, especially my cut backs on running."
Do you feel that you will make a decision before your senior season starts or that your decision will be one that will be one that lasts until after your season is over?
"I don't think I will make an early decision. I don't want to decide too quickly and then have to change because I made a decision without all the information on all schools I am looking at to make my decision from."
Are you hoping to stay in-state or are you open to attend any school across the country?
"The main thing I want is to stay in the south. Other than that, I am open to whatever school is the best fit for me."
Have your teammates labeled you with a nickname?
"Well, growing up I was always called Hound Dog and it has stuck, my teammates call me that to this day."
How does Chamblee look for your senior year?
"We made it to the semi-finals last year and we have a lot of returning players and we are looking very good. We want to build on last year and do better. A state championship would be a great way to end my high school career."
Warren was very upbeat and very positive about everything he had to say. He is looking forward to the recruiting part of football and will look at everything each school has to offer before he decides on where to go. You can tell he will be a leader on his team by the way he comes across on the phone, he's very positive but not cocky. I look forward to talking to Warren during the recruiting season.
