Have you visited any schools this year?

"I have gone to the LSU Junior Day already and that is the only Junior Day I will probably attend."

How did that visit go?

"It was real fun. I got a chance to see the campus and tour the college. There were about 150 athletes there that day and I was one of six that had a chance to sit down and talk to Coach Les Miles."

Do you have any visits set up for the summer already?

"I know I will be going to the summer camp at LSU and I will go to the Scout.Com Combine being held at Central Florida in the summer."

What schools are recruiting you right now?

"The ones that seem to be recruiting me the hardest right now are Connecticut, LSU, Georgia Tech, Tulsa, Illinois, Alabama, Oklahoma, Louisville, Tulane and Ole Miss."

Do you have a favorite right now?

"Right now I would say LSU is my favorite, but I am waiting on Florida to start recruiting me as I would love to hear from them."

Are you strictly being recruited at the quarterback position?

"No sir, I am being recruited all over the field. Georgia Tech is recruiting me as a quarterback right now. Tulane wants me as a running back and Tulsa has told me that they want me as wide receiver. Ole Miss says that they are recruiting me as an athlete."

Which position would you prefer to play in college?

"I want to be a wide receiver in college. That is the position I really like playing."

Would you prefer to stay in state or would you mind leaving the state?

"Ideally I'd prefer to stay in state, but will play at the college I feel is the best fit for me."

"They tell me it is my decision to make and that they will support me now matter where I am playing college ball."

What factors will be the determining ones in deciding on your college choice?

"Mainly the academics and the academic support the school has. Also, the campus life and setting will be an important factor in my decision."

What type of campus do you prefer?

"I'd like to be in a big city type campus whether it is at LSU, Florida or Georgia Tech. I like being in the city, so one of those type campuses would be ideal for me."

How is your senior year shaping up?

"Last year, we lost in the second round and this year we will make it to the semifinals if not all the way. We are looking better than last season."

What are your best traits as a player?

"I've been told I am very good at running the option. I feel that I throw the deep ball very well as well as catch the deep ball too when I am the wide receiver."

What do you feel you need to work on before college?

"My footwork is one thing I need to work on before college ball. I feel I can be much better with my play if my footwork was better."

Have you been labeled with a nickname?

"Yes sir, when I was a freshman, I would go in and play some at quarterback and I would do a good job. The seniors on the team then started calling me "Future" because they said I was the future of the high school team."

Dale's Take:
Ricky is a very versatile athlete playing quarterback. He prefers playing wide receiver but is open to what ever position he will be asked to play once he gets to college. Ricky is very confident in his ability but comes across as a humble athlete. He'll be an asset to any college that gets him.
