Cory, I understand you made a visit to Georgia Tech and watched both a Friday practice and Saturday scrimmage. How did you enjoy the trip?

"It was real nice. I really liked my time up there and the coaches told me that they liked me as a player and a person. They liked my size, the way I presented myself, and told me that they felt I would make a very good addition to the team. I enjoyed talking to the coaches and enjoyed the practices and scrimmage. I wish we had more time to see everything else about Georgia Tech but it being a five and one half hour drive the football practice and scrimmage was about all we could do on this trip."

How did you like the coaches?

"They are all great. Coach Sewak, who is my recruiting coach, was real nice. I like him a lot."

How about the practices? What were your impressions of them?

"They were real aggressive and intense. I liked that. I like coaches that go full throttle and work the players to get the best out of them. Impressive is a good description."

What offers do you have right now?

"Right now Troy, Florida Atlantic, and Florida International are my three offers. My coach says that I should be getting offers from Georgia Tech, Florida, and UCF very soon."

Do you have a top list of schools?

"Yes I do. My top three in order right now are Penn State, Florida, and Georgia Tech."

What other spring visits do you have set up?

"I will be going to the spring games at both Florida and Florida State."

Which summer camps are you going to this summer?

"I am going to the ones at Georgia Tech and Florida. Those will be my two camps. Both are three day camps. one session will be on blocking and another one on coaching the tight ends and wide receivers."

What will be the factors going into making your college choice?

"I have only one right now. Which school can offer me the best education and help me get towards my goal of being an anesthesiologist. I love playing football but being an anesthesiologist is my goal. So you can say academics is the main factor."

Is location a priority to you?

"No sir, I don't care if the school is close to home or five hours away as my parents are very supportive of me and want me to make the best decision for myself."

What are you measurables?

"I am 6' 5" and weigh 225 pounds. I have run a 4.73 forty."

Do you play both sides of the ball in high school?

"Yes sir I do. I am a tight end and tackle on offense and I play end on defense."

What do you feel is your best trait as a player?

"I am real aggressive. I play all out when I hit the field."

What is something you want to work on before going to college?

"I need to gain some weight before college to help me improve my play even more."

What is the outlook for your high school team this year?

We look real good. Last year we made it all the way to the semi-finals. We only lose two starters on offense and two on defense. The ones that are replacing them are as good if not better than the ones leaving. We are loaded and have a really nice team."

Dale's Take:
Cory is a very upbeat person. He has an extremely positive outlook on his future and knows what he has going for himself and what he does need to work on before going to college. He has a set three of personal favorites. It seems if a school can show him that are his best choice, any of those three could be his choice. We will talk again after he gets back from the FSU spring game and see how his recruiting has changed.
