E.J. visited practice at Georgia Tech on Friday and then went to Clemson on Saturday to watch their spring game. Banks spoke with Scout.com about both visits and the offers he has to date.

E.J., how was your visit to Georgia Tech's practice?

"It went really well. I enjoyed watching Coach Johnson install his offense and was able to watch the overall practice. It was a very enjoyable visit.

Did you get a chance to talk to Coach Johnson much?

"I did at that. In fact, he was the first one I talked to when I arrived at Georgia Tech. I spoke with quarterbacks coach Brian Bohannon as well. They talked about how I would fit into their offense and that it was even better that I am already familiar with this type of offense."

What else did you get to do?

"I was able to see the facilities, the campus, and talked with Joe Hamilton a lot too. The facilities are very good and the campus is separate from Atlanta. It's like a city in a city. Joe was great. We talked about Tech and football and how he is really glad to be back at Georgia Tech. He is one great guy."

Could you see yourself as a quarterback in Coach Johnson's triple offense?

"I certainly could see myself running that offense. I am used to running that type offense already."

How was your visit to Clemson's spring game?

"It was a good visit too. There were a lot of people there. They probably had about 30,000 for the spring game. I got a chance to talk to all the coaches, meet the players and see the campus."

How many offers do you have to date?

"I have a little more than 30 offers. They are all east of the Mississippi River. It will be fun and hectic trimming them down."

What will you use as your main factors when it comes time to make a decision?

"Mostly, it will be playing time, how I get along with the coaches, as well as the players on the team. Also, how I will be able to get a good academic school to combine with the other three factors. I want to major in architecture. That's the combination I will be using to decide on a school."

Do you have a time frame in mind in making your decision?

"Yes sir. I want to have a decision made before my senior year starts. It will most likely be late July or early August."

Are you going to any summer camps this year?

"As of right now, I am not going to any. It might change but I doubt it as I don't feel I will be attending any."

How about combines? Are any in the works?

"I will going to the Nike combine being held at Penn State. That is the only one that I know I am going to right now."

What is next on your spring visits?

"I will be going to Notre Dame and Illinois next week. After that, I don't really know what is on the agenda."

Dale's Take
E.J. was very upbeat about his visits to Georgia Tech and Clemson this week. Even though he has over 30 offers, he is looking forward to the recruiting process. He will most likely use the summer to make his official visits and make a decision. He has already visited Georgia Tech, Clemson, Ohio State, a few others unofficially and has two more coming up. Look for continued updates on E.J. as the weeks pass.
