Daniel Hood is from Knoxville Catholic High School and is Scout.com's 19th rated tight end. The 3-star prospect made a visit this weekend to Georgia Tech to take in the Mississippi State game. Hood currenty reports a top 3 of Georgia Tech, Auburn, and Ole Miss. "Those three are recruiting me the hardest," he says. Here are Daniel's thoughts on the game and visit:

"It was pretty good. We got to see a lot. It was a great game. They beat up on Mississippi State pretty bad, who gave up just 3 points to Auburn last week. And Tech went off and scored 38 points on them. It was pretty impressive. It was a good trip. I like (the offense). It's what we run at my high school to be honest, except a little different. It's fun to play in. Any play can be a big play."

Daniel said he was able to see the coaches and that he talked with offensive line coach Todd Spencer a lot. He also met some of the committed players. He will be making more visits in the next month. He'll stop at Auburn next weekend, and then Ole Miss the following weekend. Then on October 18th, Daniel will make a trip to Lexington, Kentucky to see the University of Kentucky, who hasn't extended an offer to him yet. All visits are unofficial visits. "I hope to make some official visits. I have to be cleared by the clearing house first. I haven't looked far enough yet to decide on whether I'll visit Tech again. After all the first visits, I'll look at the schedule again and see."

Currently the Yellow Jackets want Daniel on the offensive line. Auburn says he can try defensive line, offensive line, or tight end. Ole Miss wants him at tight end. "Right now, I have no preference. This is only my first season at tight end. I've done well but we'll see how things go on as we begin to face tougher competition."

When does Daniel think he may make a commitment to a school?

"I don't really have a timetable. Whenever I know, I'll know. I'll do it then."
